Recycle Everything from Cell Phones to Yogurt

We all know recycling is important, right? We all make conscious efforts to recycle to the best of our abilities, right? Although the husband and I are quite studious in our recycling habits, there are times when we get stuck on how to recycle certain things…Cell phones are probably one of the least recycled items, but that doesn’t mean that they cannot be recycled. When you switch phones (how many people have made the iPhone leap?), The Wireless Foundation will refurbish your old phone and give them to domestic abuse survivors. Now that’s a good cause!
For those of you that have outgrown your Crocs, you can send them back and Crocs will donate them to underprivileged folks. Another good cause!
Your sneaks can also be put to good use. Nike’s Reuse-A-Shoe will recycle them into courts for kids to play in. Or they can be donated to athletes if you didn’t stankify them at oneworldrunning.com.
Most people eat yogurt. Together, we probably accumulate a lot of yogurt cups. Stonyfield Farm, in partnership with Preserve, can turn their yogurt cups into toothbrushes, razors, etc.
Go to Real Simple for an exhaustive list of items to recycle and how.
